    CHURCH COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS
    May 18, 2009

Search and Call Committee has narrowed its search to three candidates for Lead Pastor. One has visited and the other two will visit in June.

Due to concern about building security during Sunday morning worship, the parking lot entrance near the church office will be locked when worship begins.

Stewardship Board has selected the theme: One by One by One...A Full Circle. A visual display of church activities is planned for the Social Hall.

Capital Campaign III (CCIII) update:  With some of the proceeds from the sale of Marie Kegley's condo dedicated to CCIII and payments received from outstanding CCIII pledges, the remaining balance on the building debt will be between $30,000-$50,000. An old fashioned potluck on September 13 will celebrate all we have accomplished and encourage a final push to retire the debt.

Organization and Constitution Committee being formed to (1) articulate the work of the church, (2) envision how to do that work efficiently, maximizing people's skills and talents, (3) recommend a plan to implement changes.  Please contact Moderator Pete Rittmueller if you are interested in serving on this committee.

The Church Banner "125 Years of Serving This Community" will be carried in the Ski to Sea Grand Parade.

    Council answered these questions:

What expectations do you have of your church life starting in Fall 2009?

What are you looking forward to most?

Other than new pastors, what is the biggest challenge for our church?
