Each Mission Trip participant and their prayer partner were given matching small stones with the same inspirational word added to the stone by artist Nancy Fayram. The mission members and their prayer partners gathered in the social hall prior to the April 12 service.
On Easter Sunday, the New Orleans Mission Team from First Congregational Church of Bellingham, UCC, stood before the congregation to hear the congregation say this prayer:
We send our prayers, our support
and our love with you as you travel to
New Orleans to add your labor and love
to the efforts to rebuild there.
