Each year the Mission and Justice Board is charged with distributing funds from the interest in the memorial Diehl Investment Fund. This year the board has distributed funds to support work in legislative advocacy, peace efforts, economic, environmental, and undoing racism. Through this generous gift, we have shared funds with our partners in the Faith Action Network, Bellingham Food Bank Dental Van, Northwest Youth Services, Road2Home, Birchwood Food Desert Fighters, Earth Ministries, Sacred Earth Fair, support for a Gazan family, Undoing Racism training, support for our October ONA celebration, Churches for Middle East Peace Program, Whatcom Peace and Justice Center, support for development of our Land Acknowledgement, Holiday Joy, UCC National Disaster Ministry for work in recent hurricane disasters, and provided seed funding for the Simple Supper.
