Advocate for NWYS

Advocacy Opportunity

Over the next few weeks, the Whatcom County Council will be finalizing the budget for the next two years, and it’s a critical time for Northwest Youth Services. On Tuesday, November 19, at 6:00 pm, some of the NWYS team, will be speaking at the County Council’s regular meeting to advocate for full funding of NWYS contracts in the upcoming biennium (2025–2026).

NWYS has created an email template to help staff, community members, and supporters ask County Council to fully fund these vital services. The template includes email addresses for the council, making it easy to copy, paste, and send your message of support. Download the template: Here

This effort is about ensuring young people in our community continue to receive the critical support they need to thrive. Feel free to share this template with your networks—we appreciate your help amplifying this important advocacy effort. You are also invited to join us that evening to speak directly at the County Council meeting. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like support.

Thank you for standing with us as we work toward a brighter future for Whatcom County youth.
