Join our ongoing book group reading and discussion Becoming a Good Relative: Calling White Settlers toward Truth, Healing, and Repair by Hilary Giovale. The group meets alternate Tuesdays, October 14 and 28 from 1:00-2:30 pm in The Fireplace Room.
All are welcome to join this book group as we continue a challenging discussion of the author’s story of her awakening awareness of her own whiteness and how we have been given a false narrative about how we came to live in this country of America which the author names Turtle Island.
For October 14, we will continue with Part Two, Weaving, as we discuss pages 92-128 and for October 28, more of Part Two, Weaving. We also share around the Questions for Reflection (page 251-252) All are welcome to join in the discussion. For questions, contact Deanna.
