Village Books will host a book launch Thursday, September 19, 7-8:30 pm for Our Hearts Beat as One, a book honoring the legacy of Sk’aliCh’elh-tenaut (Tokitae/ Lolita). The book is being published by Chuckanut Editions and tells the story of the captive orca held in the Miami Aquarium for 50 years. An effort to return her to her home waters was a unifying force, bringing together tribes, philanthropists, scientists, politicians, and people around the world.
