Bridge Conversations / All Church Reads (restructuring)
Bridge 141 is the group holding space for our congregation to look to our past and future as a faith community, but it’s the whole congregation—YOU!—who will listen to the Spirit and lead us in our restructuring endeavor. That means we need your perspectives, your experiences, and your prayers in order to make this truly congregation led. Please join us as often as possible on Wednesday mornings or evenings. Our year-long process has begun, and Bridge Conversations are a place for you to be part of it. Your investment in your church helps make our collective movement possible!
Rather than a single text for the All Church Reads this year, we’re choosing various articles, podcasts, or chapters to engage together. To skim a 1-page version of today’s topic, “Why Are So Many Churches Struggling Today?” click here: https://faithlead.org/blog/why-are-so-many-churches-struggling-today/. If you missed this morning’s lively discussion, we hope you’ll join us tonight!
Each Wednesday with Pastor Sharon & Joy
9:00 am at Greene’s Corner (2208 James Street)
7:00 pm in Rm. 32 (near the office entrance) and Zoom.
Contact the office for the Zoom link.
For next Wednesday we have 2 brief articles to read:
“No Longer Living in Christendom” and “(How) Can We Attract Younger Adults and Families?”
Please note: Future all church read articles/podcasts for Bridge Conversations will be found in the Friday Announcements emails and this blog. If you’d like to be on a specific email list to receive links, please email office@fccb.net and let Cydne know. To easily find blog posts, scroll down the home page of the blog until you see the list of tags. Then select the "Bridge 141" tag.
