The First Congregational Church of Bellingham United Church of Christ is pleased to once again offer a Health and Wellness Scholarship in honor of Debra Kay Pehrson, who served this community as a dedicated nurse. The $2,500 yearly scholarship was established by her mother, Alvie Pehrson to support individuals in our congregation who have chosen to pursue a career in healthcare.

We are a community of friends gathering for a meal, conversation, and sharing time together. We closed 2025 in November with a joint Holiday Meal with our Ground Floor friends—Wow everyone did step up and show up. Now the tradition of Being Community goes forward.

Many of you remember that we usually have a Village Books book sale in the church narthex during Advent. It is an excellent time to purchase gifts for family and friends and to check out some wonderful books.
