Thank you for your generous donations to the mission projects the church school community supports throughout the year. These projects are collecting new and gently used books for Kids Need Books, and diapers for the Diaper Ministry.
Diaper Ministry: Each week there are families in our community faced with making choices between purchasing food, paying bills and finding funds to buy diapers . Your donations are greatly appreciated to support these families in need! We collect diapers and monetary funds throughout the year to purchase diapers for families in our community and share them though Sea Mar, Opportunity Council, Domestic Violence Sexual Assault Services and Catholic Community Services.
Kids Need Books: Your donations have helped us collect seven large bins of gently used and new books for Kids Need Books so far this year. Donated books are shared with low income families in our community during the pop-up food banks at Alderwood and Cordata Schools two evenings a week. To date, the program has handed out more than 3,000 books. We collect books for this program throughout the year. Look for the collection box in the hallway between Rooms 31 and 33 downstairs.
Each of these programs provides opportunities for our children, youth and congregation to help make a difference in the lives of children, youth and families in our community.
