Churches for Middle East Peace

Join us Sunday, May 19 at 5:00 pm for a presentation from staff members from Churches for Middle East Peace for an evening of learning and conversation about peace building and advocacy related to the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

Featured speakers will include:

Tamar Haddad, a Palestinian Christian from Jerusalem currently serving as the coordinator of CMEP's And Still We Rise women's empowerment initiative.

Destiny Magnett, CMEP's Programs and Outreach Manager who has also spent time on the ground in the region.

Giving special attention to October 7, 2023 and the subsequent bombardment of Gaza, Tamar and Destiny will help participants learn about the realities of life on the ground in the Holy Land and share insights about the role Christians around the globe have to play in working for peace.

First Congregational Church of Bellingham is hosting this event, along with Christ the Servant Lutheran, Garden Street United Methodist and St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
