Faith Formation and Mission and Justice Boards invite you to participate in planning for a climate revival to engage the urgent moral crisis of climate change. Our guest, Jim Antal, UCC denominational leader, activist, and public theologian, will lead a hybrid seminar on Saturday, November 5, and deliver our Sunday sermon on Sunday, November 6. Jim Antal serves as Special Advisor on Climate Justice to the General Minister and President of the United Church of Christ. Antal’s 2018 book, Climate Church, Climate World, is being read by hundreds of churches. From 2006-2018, Antal led the 350 UCC churches in Massachusetts as their Conference Minister and President. He has preached on climate change since 1988 in over 300 settings and has engaged in non-violent civil disobedience on numerous occasions.
