It seems that everything’s changing right now, doesn’t it? Of course, everything is always changing. It’s just not as evident as it is now, as the pandemic continues, and we all try to figure out how to live in this new setting. Here are a couple of notes from Cydne in the office.
The office is staffed now and some we’re having some in-person meetings and increased accessed for ministry-related activities. If you need to come to the church, please contact Cydne in the office to schedule. For everyone’s safety, we’re still trying to limit cross-traffic as much as possible. When you arrive and are buzzed in at the office entrance, please sign in for contract tracing purposes and follow the protocols on the sign-in sheet. We are still asking people to wear masks in the church.
Since we are in the office more, our need for volunteer assistance is also increasing, another thing we’re figuring out. If you’ve volunteered in the office before and are interested in starting up again or if you’ve never volunteered but would like to start, contact Cydne. We’re open to different levels of commitment, from working once a week periodically as a teller or being on call to help with big mailings.
The building is not open for outside users at this time, but that day will come again. When that happens, we'll need event hosts again. Event hosts are present during events such as concerts, meetings, and other community events. Hosts open the building and check in with building users before an event. They are on site during the event and remain until the users have gone to make sure evertything is clean and secure.
