COVID Advisory Team Update

The Delta variant is now in Whatcom County and it is the most dominant strain in the US. Many areas are seeing a rise in infections and hospitalizations. This strain is more transmissible and can cause more serious illness. Symptoms can be a little different including headache, runny nose, sore throat, fever or just feeling “off”. If you or anyone in your family has cold or flu-like symptoms, please stay home and join church activities online.

It is more important than ever to get vaccinated if you can and get two shots if your vaccine requires both. Remember that vaccines offer great protection but no vaccine is 100% effective.

At this time we plan to continue with “hybrid” worship. If you choose to attend in-person worship the following are required:

  • Wear a mask.
  • Maintain social distancing.
  • There will be no singing as a precaution.
  • Enter the church near 10:00 am and be seated in the sanctuary.
  • Exit the church directly after worship.

Whether you participate in worship in-person or online, you are warmly welcomed. Together, we will keep each other, our families and our community as safe as possible.
