Fresh Start has been in existence since 2014. What is it? It is a project started by Pilgrim Circle and requested by Interfaith Coalition. We help families that are moving from temporary houses to permanent housing. We assist with household goods such as bedding, kitchen and bath supplies, and cookware. We hand out items such as towels, brooms, glassware, blankets and sheets, dishes, small appliances, and pots and pans. We do not supply furniture. We are in need of any of those items in good condition.
Since we started in 2014, word has spread and we now get requests from Ground Floor, Opportunity Council, NW Regional Council, as well as Interfaith Coalition. The need is greater now than ever. In the last 9 years we have assisted 325 families.
If you have items in good condition and would like to donate, please bring them to the church basement and leave near the double doors by the elevator marked for Fresh Start.
