Immortal Heroines: A Few Significant Women in Religious History

This is storytime! Join us October 8 & 15, 6:00-8:00 pm for a class in two two-hour sessions led by Lina Zeine Ph.D.

This class will tell the sories of the specific women who were connected and close to the prophets of four Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the Baha'i Faith. Such women include - but are not limited to - Miram, sister of Moses; Mary Madgalene, Apostle of Christ; Khadijah, wife of Muhammad; Tahirih, Persian poetess and early Babi convert; and Bahiyyih Khanum, daughter of Bahu'u'llah.

Who were these women? Mothers? Wives? Sisters? Believers? Did they have anything in common? What roles did they play in the repsective Prophet's life? Over a period of four hours, the class will relate the stories of these women chronologically, starting with Miriam (Judaism) and ending with Bahiyyih Khnum (Baha'i Faith).

No preregistration needed! Just join us in the sanctuary for one or both sessions! Scroll down to learn about Lina Zeine Ph.D.
