"We Are Treaty People" Intergenerational Activities
These activities will take place Monday, January 22 at First Congregational Church 10:00 am-12:00 noon. You and your family are welcome to drop-in OR attend all activities, then visit Whatcom Museum’s People of the Sea and Cedar exhibition.

10:10 am: YouTube viewing: Lummi Nation Children Learn from Eagles” with Josh Marchand
10:15 am: The Orange Shirt Story by Phyllis Webstad presented by Joyce Sweeney
10:35 am: History lesson: Reasons for Treaties and Treaty People by Jill York
10:55 am: Why We Want a Good Land Acknowledgment with Laurie Hoyt and others
11:00 am: Focus on the Salish People: Their Native Languages, Legends, & Arts, by Tim Shepherd
Making Fry Bread with Rob Hoyt and Paula MacGrath. Snack time includes the Fry Bread, Salmon and some loved Indigenous spreads.
We hope you will join us for all or part of the morning, with your family or on your own. Anyone of any age is welcome.
