Whatcom Million Tree Project Community Event – Saturday, June 11, 1:00 pm

Next to Firehouse Café in Fairhaven

This is a family event with talks by professional arborists, story tellers, give away conifer tree seedlingspackets. The JP Falcon Grady Band will play on the garden stage until 3:30 pm. There will also be a cool raffle and some fun giveaways, too!

 

June 12: Strengthen the Church Offering

As God calls our congregations to be the church in new ways, your generosity can plant new churches, awaken new ideas in existing churches and develop the spiritual life in our youth and young adults. We will receive the Strengthen the Church offering on June 12.  By your generosity to this offering, you build up the Body of Christ. 

 

Gun Violence – Tested by Our Grief

In 1995, the UCC General Synod passed a resolution entitled “Guns and Violence,” inviting UCC members and congregations to advocate for legislation to strengthen licensing and registration of gun sales, strengthen regulations of gun dealers and ban semiautomatic assault weapons and high capacity ammunition clips.
