Birchwood Food Desert Fighters Food Drive March 25
Extra Food Assistance (SNAP) Benefits Reduced in March: It is even more urgent that we support our neighbors in the Birchwood Food Desert Fighters as food prices rise and food assistance drops. Put March 25 on your calendars for a First Congregational Church food drive starting at 9:00 am. Sign up starting this Sunday to help organize and deliver food.

A Special Music and Poetry Occasion
On Saturday, March 25, join the 80-voice choir, Seattle Pro Musica in a special performance of "The Glimmer" featuring composer Jerod Impichchaachaaha’ Tate. "The Glimmer" is the musical setting of a poem by Washington state poet laureate Rena Priest. Tate, a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma, is dedicated to the development of American Indian classical composition.
The members and friends of the First Congregational Church of Bellingham are organizing transportation to Seattle for the concert with a special time to meet Jared at 6:45 p.m. and attend the concert together at 7:30 pm. For more details contact, Bruce Camblin at bczot44@comcast.net or 360-201-7420.
We hope to travel together by bus to lower the carbon footprint to Seattle and want to see if we can charter bus or at least carpool. If you are interested in group transportation, contact Sharon Camblin, camblins@comcast.net or 360-220-3415. Transportation reservations must be made by March 14.
