Climate Action Now – March 6 Conversation

New Time and only on Zoom (11:30)

The Mission/Justice Board has moved the time of the Climate Action Now Conversation wth Mark Scofield and Larry Menninga to 11:30 am to allow all that want to join the zoom to get home after in-person worship! The recent UN report was stark in its warning – climate change is likely to make the world sicker, hungrier, poorer gloomier and more dangerous. Join Mark and Larry for a continued discussion of what you can do individually and what we can do collectively as a people of faith working to ensure we protect the earth and create a livable environment for all. Contact the office for the Zoom link.

UCC Response to Ukranian Crisis

The United Church of Christ is issuing an appeal for the people of Ukraine and will be working with global partners to assist vulnerable communities within that country. As a member of the ACT Alliance, UCC support is being targeted to people most in need through humanitarian relief partners with a history of working in the region such as the Reformed Church in Hungary that has been working on the ground since February 24.

You can donate now at https://app.mobilecause.com/form/8w38_Q?vid=qd0ha or send a check to United Church of Christ PO BOX 71957 Cleveland, OH 44194. All donations will be deposited into the International Disasters fund designated for “Ukraine Relief.” Your generous financial support will be used by our partners in the areas of greatest need.

Uniting in prayer, action, and giving, we stand as a people of faith in love and compassion with the people of Ukraine and all who are affected, and with our global partners who are welcoming those driven from their homes.
