November 21 Thanksgiving Food Share for Family Promise Families

Please bring any of the following food items to worship on Sunday or a drive-through donation area in the circle drive on November 21 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm to build Thanksgiving meals for Family Promise Families. We will be serving over 10 families with nearly 25 children. Needed: turkeys, hams, white/sweet potatoes, green bean casserole items, jellied cranberries, dressing mix, rolls, and all kinds of pies!

Interfaith Coalition Christmas Joy Support

Be a part of the Interfaith Christmas Joy program filling wishes for children and adults. Pick up wishes from trees in the narthex or call the office to receive a wish.  All gifts need to be wrapped and back at the church by December 3.

Love on (Two) Wheels

At Christmas, Mission and Justice extends an “extravagant welcome” to all who might like to join in the gifting of bicycles to young folk from families experiencing economic challenge. We are teaming with fellow workers for economic justice from the 2021 Community Toy Store. This exciting ministry - the joint effort of a range of generous faith groups and not-for-profits throughout Whatcom - affords marginalized parents and caregivers the opportunity to exercise full agency as they Christmas shop, at vastly reduced costs, providing their children with well-chosen gifts. If you would like to be a part of the fun, either by teaming to provide bicycles, or by serving (Covid-safely) at the store, reach out to Mona Slagle at mona@rootedgenerosity.org.
