ADVENT SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES AND CHILDREN
First Congregational Church will again be part of the Interfaith Christmas Joy program where you will be able to choose a gift to purchase and donate. Pick up gift tags at church and online starting November 14. All gifts will need to be back at the church by December 3. We will also be collaborating with the Northwest Baptist Church, the Roosevelt Community Church, and the non-profit Rooted in Generosity to provide new bicycles’ that families can purchase at a very reduced price. AFGHAN REFUGEE SUPPORT: WORLD RELIEF OFFICE OPENS IN WHATCOM COUNTY
World Relief has opened an office in Whatcom County to begin support for the 15 Afghan refugees expected to arrive before the end of 2021. The biggest needs are finding available and affordable housing and funding support staff. To learn more: http://tinyurl.com/whatcomrefugees.
Birchwood Food Desert Fighters UPDATE
The Birchwood Food Desert Fighters have a great need for diapers, dry milk products, and canned protein products (tuna, chicken, beans of all kinds, tofu). Drop articles off directly at the Share Spot on Saturdays between 10:30-11:30 am.
