Winter Warmth for the Ground Floor Participants

Warm clothing of all kinds is needed by the participants of the Ground Floor. Coats, hats, and mittens are especially needed. There will be box in the narthex where you can drop off items on Sundays through November 12. You can also drop-off items during the week or make a donation towards purchase of items through regular First Congregational Church online channels.  

 

Make Your Voice Heard – What do You Want the Washington State Legislature to Hear?

The Faith Action Network (FAN) is our voice as a church working with 167 other faith groups to work for the common good in our legislature.  On November 5, 4:00–5:30 pm, churches in our region will come together at Christ the Servant Lutheran church to share with each other what we believe are the issues to be addressed. Interested in creation care, housing, immigrant rights or more? Watch for the registration site in the Monday Mission.

 

Save the Dates: November 12–19 – THANKS & GIVING

Please plan to donate food and funds so that others can enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. We will be sharing our gifts with the Ground Floor participants and families experiencing homelessness or financial hardship. Watch the Monday Mission for a list of specific items or ways to donate.

 

Anti-racism Series Continues November 14 – After the First Thanksgiving

How often in our celebration of Thanksgiving do we think about what happened after the first Thanksgiving? Plan to attend a panel discussion with Darrell Hillaire and Lummi youth about their personal and historical perspective on Thanksgiving. November 14 at 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
