“Northwest Raptor Ecology: Eagles, Hawks & Falcons” Presentation
We are blessed with the opportunity to witness a diversity of raptors during winter on our backyard river delta environs. Join us in class to learn more about their field ID, biology, habitat associations, food usage, diverse behaviors. etc. We will explore these subjects in-depth during our two-hour, imaged PowerPoint with Q & A of your interests.

Samish & Skagit Flats Field Trip
January 18, 2025, 12:00 noon-3:00 pm
Cost: $20
We will Carpool from First Congregational to drive south down Chuckanut Drive to Bow and out onto the Samish Flats to look for Hawks, Eagles and Falcons on a standardized route, including driving with short, easy walks south to Skagit Flats.
You can take the class alone, or car pool with us, on the Field Trip to hone your skills even further, to best appreciate these amazing diurnal members of the Falconiformes order in Nature.
Please Bring a lunch to enjoy from 11:00 am-12:00 noon. Coffee and tea provided.
David Drummond, Wildlife Biologist, Naturalist Educator has specialized in field study of raptor ecology over a lifetime, and has done extensive field research on Merlin and Peregrine Falcons, as well as hawks and owls regionally and beyond.
