DID YOU KNOW? Our tower bell came around the horn in the 1870’s from New England. For decades, our church bell was the signal – the warning for local fires and other emergencies in the small, growing Bellingham. It brought the community together to unite and handle the issue(s). That same bell will be rung ‘sounding the alarm’ during the Sacred Earth Fair Urban Edition for our wider community: that the Planet and our local Environment is at risk! It is an emergency that calls us to save our climate and God’s creation! Several young people will be the bell ringers – the younger generation sounding the alarm! Come join us!
The Sacred Earth Fair is Saturday, April 20, 1:00-4:00 pm. Then join us for an Earth Sunday Worship Service, Sunday, April 21, 10:00 am. Our guest preacher will be Rev. Brooks Berndt, the UCC’s National Office Environmental Justice Minister. It's all happening at First Congregation Church.
