The SPIRIT group will meet on Sunday, March 2, at 11:30 am in the Fireplace Room. We will focus on the Serenity Prayer as the starting place for the conversation. The words of this prayer, written by Reinhold Niebuhr, a pastor in our United Church of Christ heritage, have become a familiar part of our culture. We’ll take a look at how Niebuhr came to write the Serenity Prayer, how it came to be popularized, and what those familiar words might mean to us today.
