First Congregational Church is involved in creating support for our immigrant siblings in several ways. Members of the Mission/Justice Board are working in collaboration with Community2Community, the local voice for farm workers and the immigrant community, to build an interfaith network of support in Whatcom County that can respond when needed. The UCC has initiated a national campaign, Say No to Xenophobic Immigration Policieshttps://www.votervoice.net/JAWM/Campaigns/120213/Respond. Lastly, the Faith Action Network is working at the state level in the new legislative session on issues relating to immigration.
