First Congregational Church UCC has joined with Garden Street UMC to “adopt a block” for 2025 Youth Pride.

The UPLIFT chapter at Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship (BUF) invites us to a six-session course on Transgender Inclusion in Congregations. UPLIFT is a national religious organization of the Unitarian Universalist Association, supporting and advocating for LGBTQIA+ people. We work to ensure that our congregation welcomes and incorporates queer people in all aspects of congregational life, and we work to improve the lives of LGBTQIA+ people in Whatcom County.

Hosted by Transmission Ministry Collective (TMC): As part of our new Church Partnership Program, TMC will be holding a series of online workshops throughout the fall, specifically geared towards churches and faith communities that want to better support their trans community members.

October marks the 25th anniversary of our congregation becoming an Open and Affirming (ONA) congregation. We've got some special activities planned.
