Thursday Night Book Club – Open to All
This fall the Thursday night book club is reading, Fortune, How Race Broke My Family and the World and How to Repair it All by Lisa Sharon Harper. Harper is one of our nation’s most critical voices on issues of race, gender, faith, and justice. Using generational stories, the book recovers the beauty of Harper’s heritage while exposing the brokenness that race has wrought in America.
The group meets at 5:00 pm each Thursday on Zoom to discuss and reflect on a section of the book. We will be talking about the Prologue, Introduction and Chapter 1 on September 22. This is a group that welcomes diverse viewpoints and questions as we relate contemporary issues to our faith. Grace is definitely granted for busy weeks that don’t allow for reading!
Email Janet Ott, coach@janet.ott.com if you would like the Zoom link for next week. Interested but not sure this book is for you? Check out the author at https://lisasharonharper.com/fortuneresources/.
