The Faith Formation Board is hosting a six week Lenten book discussion on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm starting February 24. We will be reading Entering the Passion of Jesus: A Beginner’s Guide to Holy Week by Amy-Jill Levine (the same author we read during Advent). In her Lenten study, Levine explores the biblical texts surrounding the Passion story including Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, the incident in the Temple, his anointing by a woman, his final teachings, the last supper, and his agony in Gethsemane.
There are six chapters; we will read one chapter a week starting with Chapter 1 on February 24 and going through March 31. Books can be purchased through Village Books, or online and it is also available as an ebook.
On April 14 we will host a Q+A with author AJ Levine. She has graciously agreed to visit with us via Zoom. Please join us in our study of Entering the Passion of Jesus: A Beginners Guide to Holy Week and in our meeting with Amy Jill Levine.
