What Matters to You? A Lenten Discussion
The Membership Board, collaborating with the Faith Formation Board is pleased to invite members and friends of 1st Congregational Church to engage six vital themes of our faith during Lent. This Zoom discussion will be held on Wednesdays from 5:30–6:30 pm. Our conversations will include:
Ash Wednesday, February 22: We are People of God’s Extravagant Welcome
Wednesday, March 1: We Belong to Christ
Wednesday, March 8: We Are a People of Covenant, a United and Uniting Church
Wednesday, March 15: We Are One at Baptism and the Table
Wednesday, March 22: We Thank God by Working for a Just and Loving World
Wednesday, March 29: We Listen for the Still Speaking God
Wednesday of Holy Week, April 5: Examples of our Faith in Action
These conversations are based on the Book, What Matters to You? Matters to Us by Sidney Fowler. A few copies of the book are available, but there is no assigned reading or preparation for the conversations. Participants are welcome to join one, several, or all of the conversations.
