Opening windows into faith
CHILDREN IN CHURCH
We love children in worship—their noises and wiggles are welcome, too. There are pillows in the front where they can see the instruments and participate fully, or the coloring, book, and play area is available in the corner near the windows. Their movements back and forth are a joy for all of us.
LEADING SUNDAY WORSHIP
Children and youth play an active part in the Sunday morning service. They ring the church bell to start the service, lead liturgical readings, share their musical talent, help with communion and call for the morning offering.
First Congregational Church is committed to creating a safe and healthy environment where young people can learn about and experience God’s love. This policy is designed to provide a safe and secure environment for all children, youth and volunteers who participate in ministries and activities.
